Pining away with each passed moment into exhaustion. Desire fades, want for nothing, pained by everything, abject sorrow becomes me.
Finally, with eyes pried open, I’m given a way out of this.
Now I ascend, this new dawn encompassing. Pulsating colors and shapes, they are blinding but I can still see through. My skin starts to burn as I soar higher. I chased the sun. The ground is calling me back. Hubris and folly. My last fall from grace, all the way down. A final impact. Leave me where the waves are breaking. My body longs to go back home. This is my unfettering; a return to where I came from. Free from all that held me back, the cycle is complete, I am released.

I love the light and shade between Bryan's dirty and Emma's forlorn vocals. There are so many layers to this recording that are driven home through contrast. Plus the riffs are brilliant and get me moving. I can't stop listening to Thou and Emma in general lately.
